My name is Alison, and I am the owner and dedicated caretaker of Comfort Cat Hotel. The heart behind Comfort Cat Hotel was shaped by two deeply personal influences.

 ​

                         First and foremost, this hotel exists because of my mother, Mary. She                           was well known in Barbados for her lifelong devotion to animals—                             dogs, horses, and any animal that crossed her path in need of care.                           For decades, she rescued, nurtured, and loved hundreds of animals,                             giving them safety, dignity, and a second chance. From her, I learned what true compassion, passion and unwavering commitment to caring for animals looked like.

                  Comfort Cat Hotel is, in many ways, a living tribute to her. It is especially                      meaningful that the hotel is located in her former home, a place that once                    echoed with her kindness to her animals. I miss her deeply, and I often                        imagine her smiling from heaven, watching the cats arrive and settle in,                        knowing they are being cared for by her daughter with the same love she                    gave so freely.

                            Secondly, I am a devoted cat mum to Kairos, Destiny, and                                      Sweetie, and to the many beloved cats who have shared my life                              over the years and have since crossed the Rainbow Bridge.                                    Because of them, I understand how difficult it can be to leave                               your cats behind when traveling. I know the worry, the longing, and the hope that they will be treated with gentleness, genuine love and respect in your absence.

This understanding is what inspired me to create Comfort Cat Hotel as a peaceful home away from home—set in the quiet Barbadian countryside—where cats are never overlooked or treated as numbers. Here, every cat is seen, known, and cared for as an individual.

                  Cats are sensitive, intuitive companions who flourish in calm and familiar                      routines. Each guest receives individualized attention, gentle affection, and                    care in a serene and secure environment. Whether playful, shy, elderly, or                     simply in need of quiet, every cat is given the space and respect they need to feel safe and at ease.

      Comfort Cat Hotel is more than a place to board. It is a space created from love              where cats are truly cared for, and where their families can travel with complete                confidence and peace of mind, knowing their cat(s) is in gentle, capable hands.
